Final Letter November 6, 2017

Hej!

Well, I can't believe that I'm saying this, but this will be the last email that I send out as a missionary.... We will be travelling to Copenhagen next week, so I probably will not get the chance to write, but I'll be sure to tell you all about it :) 

Anyway, this week was CRAZY busy! We were in Aarhus 2 times and met with a lot of our investigators. Speaking of investigators, Carlo's baptismal interview went great and he will be getting baptized on Sunday! He is just so incredible. The Carlo quote of the week: he invited us over to eat real Italian food and after we had figured the details he said "please....... just don't say... "I am on a diet" tomorrow, okay? Please." Don't you worry Carlo, we will not be afraid to eat your real Italian food. So that was pretty funny. 

We went and visited a lady and she told us that we had been an answer to her prayer because she had prayed that God would send her a sign that He was aware of her. Being a tool in God's hands is so cool ❤

Well. I can't believe that time has gone so fast. If I could sum up what I have learned this last year and a half, it would be that God is real. Christ loves us. He IS our Savior. He is our mentor. He is our older brother. He is our best friend. I have felt His peace time and time again at times when I thought I had failed Him. I have felt His love when I thought I had betrayed Him. He can and will forgive. He can and will heal. He can and will be there for you NO MATTER WHAT you go through. If you don't feel like you know Him personally, I invite you to start today. If you feel like you have lost your connection with Him, start today. Read the Book of Mormon everyday. Think about what you're reading. Pray every day. Speak what you have in your heart and don't hold back. Our Heavenly Father is there and He wants to bless us - so let him! He will make so much more out of us that we could ever dream of doing alone.

I LOVE my mission, not because it was fun or easy but because I can now say that I Know That My Redeemer lives. and it is true, what comfort that sweet sentence gives. He lives. 

I love you all - and I am excited to see you adn hug you and hear all about your adventures from the last 18 months. Thank you for being there for me throughout this whole adventure!

October 30, 2017 2 Weeks to go!

Hej! :D 

This week was yet another good one. It was cold and windy but we survived and even smiled the whole time. 

Carlo is still doing awesome. He should be having his baptismal interview on Thursday, so pray that all will be well there! This week we had a reading night with some members and investigators where we read 1 Nephi 17 and while we read, we discussed and I drew out the story on big pieces of paper. for those of you who know my artistic ability, that was quite the entertainment to everyone who was there, haha. But Carlo came, and he called me over and said 'i have been studying and i have something to show you..' *background story: he read lehi's dream and he said his favorite part was the ' flying castle' - we tried to explain that there was no flying castle, just a big building on the other side of the river. but he was not accepting it.. *   so he pulls out the english book of mormon that he borrowed from us last week, opens up to 1 nephi 8, and reads the verse about the great and spacious building..... which appears to be in the air. and then he said 'See?!?! flying castle!!!! I told you!' hahah he was so proud that he knew that part of the scriptures better than he did. He's funny. Good ol' Carlo... he also wanted to try the cake that we made because he said that since the missionaries made it, it must be blessed. "Let me try the blessed cake!" What a character! WE love him.

Yesterday at church, we were talking a lot about a europe-wide broadcast that we had a couple weeks ago with Elder Ballard. One of the things he talked about was learning how to take time to be still. We can't underestimate the power that comes in just being still and calm and pondering the things of the Spirit. I've been thinking about that a lot, especially in regards to the Savior. He was never lazy and never just wandered aimlessly - he always knew where he was going and what He was trying to do, but He was never stressed about getting there. Watch the bible videos - He takes His time. He reaches out to the one who needs HIm. He listens. He cares. He always gets where He is needed, but he enjoys himself and blesses others along the way. I think too often, we cram ourselves too full of activities and tasks and who-knows-what that we allow them to blind us to what is actually important. Like was said at conference, we allow the things of our world to block our view of heavenly wonders. So I hope that all of you will take a little more time this week to look around you and really SEE the people you are surrounded by. what do they need? how can you help? Why did God put YOU in THEIR path today? There is a reason, we just have to take a step and find out why. I hope you all have a great week adn that you recognize the hand of the Lord in your life! He loves you all, I promise! Keep moving forward :)

October 23, 2017 3 WEEKS TO GO!!!

Hello friends and family!

Wow we had a crazy week but it was SO GOOD. We were in our area the whole week and that was so nice. We missed Esbjerg. 

Today we went to Ribe, which is a way old city in our area. It was awesome! We convinced the Elders to come along with us, and on the way back, they were loading more money onto their travel card while we waited on the train and then the train drove away without them, so we accidentally ditched them after dragging them around all day. Haha poor elders. Don't worry, another train happened to come pretty quickly so they got home alright.... I'll send picture of Ribe, it was so pretty :)

 

Things with Carlo are going great! We taught him about the Word of wisdom and keeping the sabbath day holy, and he asked what kind of stuff he should avoid doing on sundays - we gave him the example of going shopping, and he (jokingly) said 'wait! the word of wisdom says nothing about Gucci! no coffee, no alcohol, but I can Gucci all I want!' hahahah and just remember, he is a 46 year old italian man that does NOT like shopping. it was just really funny and we love Carlo. So keep praying for him, it is helping! 

Our ward mission leader came up with an idea to help the new missionaries practice teaching in Danish, so every other week we meet a little bit before our weekly meeting and he pretends to be an investigator, and he tapes up pictures of his 'house' and 'family' and has props and all kinds of stuff... but this week, we walked in and it REEKED. it smelled SO BAD. There was a box of food sitting on the table, so we figured it was that, but we couldn't tell. throughout the lesson he kept saying things about how he needed a spiritual breath of fresh air and things like that and was trying so hard to not laugh...... and after the lesson was over, he revealed that he had used A STINK BOMB. HE STINK BOMBED A CLASSROOM IN THE CHURCH. hahaha it was just such a Martin thing to do. He is so funny. But the 'lesson' went great. So that was good.

If you can't tell, we have been having a great time and things are going so well. We are happy and safe and not even all that cold. 

The topic of patience came up a lot this week.... which is something that is normally pretty scary because learning patience is hard, but this week it was good. We talked a lot about how true christlike patience requires both hope and faith. Sometimes it can be hard to be patient with people, situations, or even ourselves, but the key is to find some source of hope that things can and will be better, adn to recognize that the source of that hope is our faith in Jesus Christ. When we do that, when we tie everything back to HIm and His teachigns and His love, becomes it suddenly much easier  to endure and enjoy the trials we face. He is the source of all joy, all hope, all peace, and is the solution to making any future brighter, clearer, or better. He loves all of you and is ready to help you become who you need to be. Reach up, and he'll take your hand.

Hello everyone!

Wow, what a week. We were in Vejle on Wednesday for splits, Aarhus on Thursday for zone conference, and then vejle again yesterday for stake conference. We were all over the place, but it was good. We've been having a hard time making time to just go out knock or contact, because we just bounce from one place to the other, but this week we made the goal that we were going to take the time to talk to at least one person in every place we found ourselves, regardless of time. We did pretty well, but we weren't seeing a ton of results come from it... until we got on the train to go visit a less active family. we sat down and Sister Hall was asking some danish questions when a girl plops down next to us, asks if we speak danish, and asks for help with her ticket. We helped her figure it out, and then she asked about our name tags, and we started talking. SHe was from South Africa and her dad has his own church down there, and she loves faith, but feels like the bible is missing a lot of truths because it has been translated so many times (why yes, yes it is..) Naturally we told her about the Book of Mormon and she got way excited. She decided it was destiny that she was on that train, because 1) she doesn't even live in Esbjerg 2) she doesn't normally reserve a seat ticket but she felt like she should this time 3) we happened to sit in the seats right next to the random seat she was assigned when she reserved a spot. We switched info and after we got off the train, we decided that the reason things worked out with her was because we had proven to God that day that we would talk to the people He put in our path, and so He trusted us with her. It was cool. :)

Our investigator Carlo basically did a 180 degree turn around (for the better!) we were talking to him the other day, and he told us that he didn't think he needed to pray right now, and we said why, and he said 'because I already feel adn know that this book (the Book of Mormon) is true, so I don't need to ask for another confirmation. I already know.' UM, JA TAK. thats a missionary's dream to hear! We explained that that wasn't the only reason to pray, but we were way pumped about his answer: He decided that he wants to work towards baptism on November 11. His birthday is the 10th, so when we asked for the 11th, he said that he thought it was destiny and said yes. Yesterday the bishop picked him up at 8:20 to take him to stake conference, and he stayed with their family going to various church activities until 8:30 pm. and he loved every second :) haha he also was talking to some members yesterday, and they turned to us and were like 'wow, this guy can do exactly what we need help with! its a miracle!' and when they turned back to carlo, he did a little bow and said 'yes, hello, let me introduce myself, my name is miracle...' hahah we love Carlo. He is so funny. So keep Carlo in your prayers, that things will keep going well with him! 

I guess maybe you noticed that both of those stories had something to do with destiny. Its a weird idea, having a destiny. And while I don't understand it, I do know that there is a deeper meaning and a deeper purpose to all that we experience. Try to find it, try to understand it! It will give so much more depth and purpose to your life! This is not related, but we were watching a broadcast yesterday, and somebody said "you will never be happier than you are grateful". I thought that was profound. Feel unhappy? Become more grateful. Its an easy solution to a big problem... try it out and let me know what changes! Hope you all had a great week! Miracles are happening around you! look for them, and BE HAPPY!!

Hello! 

I GOT MY NEW COMPANION! Her name is Sister Hall and she is from Meridian, Idaho. She is awesome and we get along so well. I hope that someday I can be as good of a missionary as she is.

We got a new rug in our apartment. It smells like new carpet and so we laid on it. We like new things.

On Wednesday we got a call from some guy we dont know named Nickolei. He got our number from a friend who said we could help him, and he wanted us to come teach him so that he could 'try the mormon church'. We went and met with him on Saturday and he came to church yesterday and wants to keep coming :) Little miracles everywhere! 

Also we have a friend named Carlo and he is Italian, and every time that we say goodbye he says 'ciao' and I just love Italian people. And being a missionary. Life is just so good sometimes, you know? It can be so easy to just get caught up in all the little irritating details or all the scary or worrysome things... but there really is so much good. There's never a darkness or a negativity so dark that a little bit of light can't penetrate it. We just need to look for the light in our lives. And if we are having trouble seeing the light, or seeing the good, then maybe that means we need to turn around and refocus on something else. Remember that there is a bigger picture, and right now we do not have the full perspective. But He does, and He knows which direction we should walk in so that we can find the light of His love. 

Jesus Christ loves each and every one of you :) God is real. He knows you're here and he is aware of your every need. Reach to Him and He will lift you. I love you all. Be happy this week :)

Hello Everyone! 

Well, today I said goodbye to Sister Kuhlo. She is on her way back to Germany. I am going to miss her a lot, but I am excited because I get to train again! Yay! I don't know who it will be yet, but I'll send pictures next week!

This week was a lot of craziness because of conference, but it was still a good one. I got to go to temple in Copenhagen and it was incredible! I honestly can't really remember much else from the week..... Wow. Sorry. I am lame. But! This week will be full of lots of adventures and i will send them next week!  

I hope you all got to listen to conference! If you didn't.... GO LISTEN RIGHT NOW. But I'll give you a sneak peek. One of the things that really stood out to me from conference was the idea of how even though we are imperfect people, God is still perfect and His plan for us is perfect. And even though our lives may be in turmoil or we feel confused or lost, He is still guiding us through the stormy seas. Trust Christ and put Him as the center of your focus and at the center of what you want to become - and it will all work out :) I promise.

Hello :)

We had yet another crazy busy week! I'll just share some of the highlights! Our friend Jean texted us asking if he could bring his friend Bo to one of our lessons, and we said.... UM YES PLEASE. So now they are little investigator friends :) Yay for missionary work! 

Thursday was our friend Kevin's birthday, and his parents forgot, so he decided that he wanted to hang out with his real friends.... so he called us and the elders and we had a Mormon birthday party for him! He is awesome and he is really close to baptism, so keep him in your prayers!! There is a big World War II memorial in the forest behind his house, so he brought us and the elders over there and it was so cool! 

Also, we had a talent show for our ward activity. We spent the whole week trying to think of something we could do, and finally, the morning of, it hit us..... nametag kazoos! For those of you that don't know, missionary tags double as a kazoo. so we started off by playing 'called to serve' all pretty wtih a guitar and singing..... and then we broke out the kazoos and started playing for real. The ward loved it, and it was an awesome night. 

Anyway..... I've been reading in Alma recently, and something that has become really interesting to me is to get to know the personalities of people in the scriptures. I've always just read the scriptures as some kind of assigned text, but recently i've been trying to read them with the intent to understand and see why different things were important for different people. I've also been doing that with the character of Christ and getting to know Him as a personality and how He felt while He did what He did, as well as just trying to see the story and all of His teaching from His perspective. It is incredibly eye opening to think about - just imagining what it woul dhave been like for Him. It has just made me realize how invested He is in who we become and in our success. He isn't in this for a short amount of time, He is there until time stops existing. He's not going to give up on us, so why should we give up on ourselves or Him? He's there and ready to help, I promise you. Just look for HIm. Seek with your heart, not your eyes.

Hello friends :) 

What a week! Sister Kuhlo and I are best friends with the rain. Wherever we go, it comes with us :) Whenever we go outside, the rain comes out too. Its a really loyal relationship. Oh boy. Lets see... what happened this week. Oh! In case y'all didn't know, Jehova's Witness people don't celebrate birthdays. But - the other day, we were on our way to the church to have a mini birthday party for one of the elders, and we saw two people near our apartment looking confused. They looked almost identical to the elders, and I said "hey, do you think those are the elders or two JWs?" I'm known for having incredible eyesight, and so my companion said 'oh, its totally the elders'. so we decided to scare them, because they were already supposed to be at the church and we were gonna show them what they get for being late. So we creep over to the building that they went into, with our arms full of happy birthday banners and a birthday cake, we're standing outside the door, ready to go in and bust them........ and we get a text from them asking if we were on our way. we thought they were trying to find an excuse for being late, so we were thinking of a sassy reply when out walk two jehovas witness men from the buildling. we looked at them like deer in the headlights, birthday cake and banners and all........... they looked at us. and then we ran. hahah Needless to say, it was NOT the Elders, and we scared some Jehovah's Witnesses. Hehe. Oops. SO that was a funny one. 

Yesterday we had a lesson with one of our investigators about praying to ask for forgiveness, and how that is a vital part of the repentance process, and invited him to try it. He said ok. Then last night, we got a text from him saying that he had prayed for forgiveness and he felt so so happy now, and said thank  you that we had taught him about it. It just made us so so so so so happy to hear how happy he is. The gospel changes lives, people. It's incredible.

Well, I'm sure many of you have the quote book that my mom gives out each year, but I wanted to just talk for a second about this week's quote. "The joy we feel has little to do with the circumstances of our lives and everything to do with the focus in our lives".  This is so true.... Just look at Jean (the guy I just talked about). He is always so focused on how scary change is, and how hard it is to overcome things... but when he changed his focus to letting Christ help him, he felt HAPPINESS. Try reading in the scriptures and study what joy and happiness are. True happiness is found in the pursuit of eternal matters. Keep the end perspective in mind. Don't lose hope, don't give up, and don't take your eyes off the Savior. He won't lead you astray. I miss you all and hope you have an incredible week!

Hello Everyone! 

Wow, I swear, every week goes by faster than the first! This week was great. We were in Aalborg for splits (I LOVE AALBORG), and then we had Zone conference in Aarhus where we talked all about the Savior and his life, and then yesterday we had Stake Conference in Aarhus which was incredible :) 

But, some details: we have an investigator who has some social problems, so he doesn't like to sit and chat. He came to an eating appointment with us and after the main course was over, he said a very nice polite goodbye and started leaving, but the mom just says 'Hey, don't you want some dessert?' and he goes DESSERT? and immediately came back and sat down haha. IT was funny. Also Sister Kuhlo is such a power house. She commanded the clouds to not rain until we were done with our service project, and the second we came inside from the project, it started dumping it. WHAT. She's cool. 

Here's a really cool thought from Stake Conference: Is it God and Christ's job to fix our problems? Or is it their job to prepare us for eternal life, happiness, and godhood? A lot of the times we get frustrated or irritated because things just aren't going how we thought they would/wanted them to. We think that our prayers are going unanswered, but they are being answered.... just not in the way we want them to. Its hard to explain the things this made me think about, but the big lesson behind it is that God knows us. HE is preparing us. He hears AND ANSWERS every prayer. but just because he answers, doesn't mean he answers how we want Him to. We forget that he has the bigger perspective. so if you feel like you just aren't being heard, try taking a step back and asking Him what it is that you are missing - what is He trying to teach/tell you that you aren't quite understanding or seeing. He wants to teach us and help us - so let HIm! I promise you all that Christ lives and loves you. God answers prayers. He wants to hear what you have been dying to say. Speak with him :) Let HIm love you!

Hello everyone!

This week, we found the Sister Ludlow Proof door. it had a tall fence guarding it, and the latch to the gate.... WAS ON TOP OF THE GATE. i couldn't reach it!!!! But, my friends, that is why we have companions! She is only a little taller than I am, but she reached it. But, right as she was about to pull the latch, what came shooting out of the treacherous wood?!? A MASSIVE SPIDER. we both lost it. but, because my companion is german and has nerves of steel, she reached past the treacherous spider and opened the lock! Win for missionaries! So then we knocked the door and no one was home :( but hey, we worked past our fears. well.... more like Sister Kuhlo worked past her fears and i cowered in fear behind her haha. but we did it! SO that was an adventure. 

One of the elders investigators gave us an entire chicken. So now we have to figure out how to cook an entire chicken in less than an hour..... any tips? 

Things here in Esbjerg are so great. I love our ward. They want to do missionary work so badly and it makes the work so much fun to have members involved. I'll have to tell more about some of people I've been meeting later on. But I love it so much. My life is incredible. 

So we have a focus in our zone right now about just teaching faith, repentance, and baptism. We overcomplicate the gospel so much. But really it just just those things: having faith in Jesus Christ. Repenting and becoming better. More Christlike, more loving, more forgiving. Being true to our baptismal covenants (read mosiah 18 if you haven't done so recently. Getting the gift of the Holy Ghost and always being worthy of its companionship by enduring to the end. It is so simple. Every doubt, fear, frustration, anger, worry, envy, concern, hestiation, betrayal, anxiety, hopelessness, or darkness in our lives WILL DISAPPEAR if we focus on those 5 simple steps and our relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the only thing that is constant in our lives, so stand on him when things get tough. God's plan is perfect. The people involved are not, but His wisdom, His love, and His power are. Trust Him. It will all turn out :)

Hello Everyone!

This week was a good one! We spent a ton of time teaching, and I got the chance to go back up to Aalborg to see Bjarne get baptized! I am so proud of him and the changes he has made. During the baptism, whenever someone would address him from the pulpit, he would answer back and it was so funny. "congratulations, Bjarne" "hey, thanks so much!" What a guy. The gospel changes lives.

We also had a lesson with our friend Jean, who also has changed his life so much. He got a priesthood blessing and said he wants to be baptized. But there are a few things standing in his way, so keep him in your prayers! 

I love Esbjerg already. The members here are quirky just like me and we get along great. My companion is awesome and we are working hard :) I just love my mission. 

Here's a little thought from church yesterday. The stake president came and talked about miracles. He talked about how there are so many things that are miracles that we just take for granted. but with every single day, if we just take the time to look for small miracles, we will be overwhelmed by how many there actually are every day. God is constantly giving us things to show us that he is there... we just need to look for them. He loves you! just look for the evidences of it! 

I love and miss you all. Be aware of Gods hand in your life this week, and I promise you will be overwhelmed by the amount of love and care that he shows us all :) Have a good week!

Hi Crysi. I have just applied to become your friend here on Facebook. Sarah told me you had been talking about me, and that you were keen to get to know me as well. I have recently become a member of LDS here in Aalborg, and your daughter and Sister Petersen sure had tremendous influence on my journey. We have had many great talks and I know we will keep in touch both now as she's off to Esbjerg but just as much post her return back home. She did tell me that you plan to come here sometime later this year, and I have already invited you all to my place for dinner and talks.

August 21, 2017 I've always wanted to be a murderer....

Hej everyone!

In case my subject line freaked you out, don't worry, I have not gone to the dark side! But i did get transfered to a new area called Esbjerg! It is my new companion's last transfer and that is what we affectionately call 'dying'. So I am killing her :) It should be a really fun transfer! I am super excited. 

This last week went by way too fast. I don't know how it is possible to do so much and remember so little, but apparently it is. Hm. Well, our investigator Bjarne had his baptismal interview and passed, so he will be getting baptized this Saturday! I am so excited for him. He has done so much and really loves the church. Also, he is in a band..... and they actually get paid to do cool band stuff. So he is basically the next Donny Osmond. Watch out LDS world, Bjarne Emmer is comin' at you! 

We got caught in a lot of random rainstorms this week. Danish summers are the best. but really, i think they are so fun and i love it here.

So, Bjarne's biggest problem with baptism was tithing... which makes sense because taxes here are CRAZY. But throughout the week, we just kept talking and explaining and trying to help him figure it out.... and one day, he came to us and said 'you know, Christ gave me everything. He gave me his life. If he can sacrifice that, then I think i can deal with sacrificing some money.' It was such a simple little realization, but it gave him so much courage to go forward. It just made me think.... if we remembered how much Christ went through and who He was and what He taught and the example He is for us every single day, how much of our day would change? what would change? Our faith in Him should be something that motivates us to be better and become more. So try and focus a little more on Him, and a little less on you. I promise you'll find that you actually become who you've always wanted to be.... because He will make you into that person. I love you all and miss you. Have such a good week! Be happy!

I just wish to thank you good folks for comming into my life again and helping me!

I met sister Sarah Ludlow (your daughter) and sister Petersen; elder Hunt and Schaffer here in Aalborg Danmark; we have met and talked A LOT ! I have an uncle (my Dads brother) who went over there to Utah Salk Lake City; he fell in love with one of your missionairies, and followed her; became babticed and married in your beautiful big temple overthere in Salt lake city; Svend Børge Emmer and Gerga Emmer were their names; he did service in the temple; he was a freemason too; well; I have cousins in Oregon , Calif, and Utah who are mormons; I like you folks A LOT; Im gonna be babticed in your Jesu Kristi Kirke af sidste dages hellige (the mormon church) here in Aalb. next saturday.

I owe your daughter Sarah a LOT; she and the other 3 missionairies from Utah working here in Aalborg today "woke me up", so to speak"! Thank you very much

Hej everyone!

Sorry that I didn't send anything last week, we went up to Skagen and also locked ourselves out of the apartment, so it was a little bit crazy of a day. But it has been a good couple of weeks! It has rained a lot, and has been quite the lovely danish summer! 

 

I just need to give a shout out to Elder Hunt and Elder Schaffer. Last week, some crazies (us) forgot the keys when we went grocery shopping. We had 2 appointments and a train to catch all in the next hour, but with two elders, a butcher knife, a metal cheese slicer, a wrench, a missionary nametag, and a pair of pliers, anything is possible and we made it inside. Thanks Elders!

 

We went to a place called the singing trees. Whenever someone famous performs in Aalborg they plant a tree and there is a little speaker with 2 or 3 of their popular songs. We listened to Shakira, Beyonce, Backstreet boys, and Elton John. It was so cool!!! 

 

Also, my trusty watch finally gave up the ghost, so Sister Petersen and I jimmy-rigged it using two hair ties and a little metal circle... she did the same thing to hers a couple months ago, so now we have 'matching' watches. Hahaha.

  

Last week, sister Petersen and I taught at the district meetings in the zone. Our training was on 'Increasing your teaching skills' Preach My Gospel has a section all about that. We decided to teach it by using the idea of 'teaching in the saviors way' It was awesome. If we want to help people follow the Savior's way, we have to teach them in the Savior's way. This can be applied to every teaching situation. Even in our families and with our friends. He loved them, prayed for them, served them. He knew who they were and who they could become. He shared stories applicable to them and that they would understand. He gave them the chance to testify. He trusted them. He invited them to act. And he was their example.  I lLOVE THAT. This really can be used in every situation. Look to the Lord and do the things in His way. We'll  never go wrong. Please get to know the Savior. It is the most valuable and important relationship you can build - He will NEVER abandon you and will NEVER lead you astray. So get to know Him and learn to trust Him :)

Hello everyone! 

This week was crazy. We were on splits twice and RUNE GOT BAPTIZED so we definitely had our hands full. There was all kinds of craziness. AFter his aunts funeral, Rune didn't start driving the 5 hour drive from Copenhagen until 10.15 pm the night before his baptism. Then the member baptizing him got last minute called into work and we were panicking, but the member told them that he had something more important to do, and Rune drove safely, so everything worked out okay. Then 40 minutes before church started, Rune called and told us that he had no way to get to church except the 1 hour walk, because he once again had locked himself out of the apartment... with car keys, house keys, wallet, and bus pass inside. So we booked it over to his apartment and bought him a bus ticket so that he could come to church. We came late but it was okay. So now he is a member and has the Holy Ghost and we are so proud of him! Another one of our investigators, Bjarne, came to the baptism and it made him even more motivated to get baptized also - so we'll keep you updated on that one! 

 

It has been pretty rainy recently but that makes me happy because then I get to wear my rain shoes and jump in puddles. So if you ever need a boost, just imagine some crazy sister missionary on the other side of the world jumping in puddles.

I don't have tons more to say about this week, because the baptism kind of took over the whole thing. But, at the baptism, 4 of us missinaries did a musical number, and we performed 'I feel my Savior's love' - and I realized how much I actually love that song. So please take a minute to read the words or listen to it or sing it or play it or something. Everything our Savior did, He did because He loves us. Now matter how you're feeling - just remember that. "I Feel my Savior's love, in ALL the world around me." He's always there, folks. and He loves you :)
