Hello Everyone!

So we have good news and bad news - the bad news is, Rune did not get baptized this week because his aunt had a stroke and fell down the stairs and died.... so instead of going to his baptism, he emergency flew to Copenhagen to be with her before she died. Plus he got sick and has to plan the funeral. SO keep him in your prayers because he needs it. The good news is that he called us and asked if we could switch the baptism to Saturday. Ha- HA! Take that, Satan! You can't stop him! He said that he can tell he needs the gift of the Holy Ghost and so was still going to keep working towards baptism. So even though his life fell apart for a week, he kept fighting and will be getting baptized this week instead. He's incredible and inspires me every day.

We also met a really nice old guy named Malgaard. He has no legs and today I found a four leaf clover outside his apartment and tried to give it to him, but he wouldn't take it because he says that I need the wish/luck, haha. So basically I love Malgaard.

Sister Petersen and I got asked to do a musical number in church yesterday, so we decided to make a cute little version of 'Where can I turn for peace'. and then, right before we were supposed to go and sing, one of the young women spoke - she had been given free choice about what to speak on, and she chose to speak about how she has learned to find peace through prayer and her relationship with our Heavenly Father and Christ - and she opened her talk with lines from 'Where can i turn for peace'. IT was crazy! Talk about inspiration. It was really cool to see how things work out that way. The Spirit is awesome.

Our seagulls have been learning how to fly, and yesterday, one of them had been up in the air having fun and came back down to land on the roof - but he slipped - down the same crevice that all the baby seagulls got stuck in :( His little wings were all sprawled out trying to keep himself from falling, but he had too much momentum... and he fell. BUT. After he fell of the edge, he put out his wings... and flew! Really flew! It was so inspiring. He was so scared to fall, but he probably knew he could fly - and he did. How often do we do that? We doubt ourselves and our abilities, and we are afraid of making changes because we are afraid of making mistakes. But if we would just trust ourselves and trust that God has put us where we are because He knows we can handle it, we would see that we have the ability to not only get by, but to thrive in every circumstance we find ourselves in. We just have to go for it!

I hope you all have a great week. Things have been going well here and we are happy. Its impossible not to be when we have so much to be grateful for. Love you all - be happy!!

Love, Søster Ludlow
