April 24, 2017

Hej!
We had a good week! It was a little bit all over the place, because we were by Copenhagen for MLC. But something incredible happened while we were on the train over there..... The yellow fields have come out. What are the yellow fields, you ask? Well, they are fields.... covered with yellow flowers... it soudns pretty lame, but it is gorgeous. look it up on google. But this was the first time that I have seen them, and my soul became so happy looking at them. and then when we rode through the forest, the ground is covered in tiny white flowers. Basically the country is just covered in lots of flowers. it is so pretty and I LOVE DENMARK.

So we found out that Patricia is a master at finding 4 leaf clovers. She has been collecting them for years, and has a bunch pressed in a little book. We stopped by her house yesterday, adn she showed us 4 that she had found earlier that day in her yard. WHAT. So then she took us and Magnus outside and we went on a 4 leaf clover hunt. And while we were hunting, Magnus kept running up and down the slide in the backyard and would "fall" down it... and eventually he was talking about how he "sure was lucky to be alive after all those falls" but then informed us that he was like a cat and only had one life left. So then, the next time that he 'fell'. he just laid there. and when we asked what he was doing, he opened one eye and whispered "I... only had... ONE.... life... left......" hahah it was pretty funny. He is such a cute kid, and we found 2 four leaf clovers! Lucky day!
I was reading in Alma 32 earlier this week, and verses 6, 14, and 15 really stood out to me. They talk about humility, and how Alma was happy when he saw that these people had been made humble, because it meant that their hearts were ready to receive the word of God. It mentions that if those people who were forced into humility were going to be so incredibly blessed, how much more blessed will we be if we CHOOSE to be humble rather than waiting for the Lord to humble us. So that is my challenge to all of you. Rather than waiting for the Lord to humble and change you, go to Him in prayer and ask Him to show you what you can change. I have done this countless times on my mission, and it is incredible to see how quickly and with how much love the Lord will correct you. He wants us to be our best, but we have to be willing to do our part; so help Him out and watch the miracles happen!
I love you all and hope you have a good week!
